Description
The College of Business at the University of New Englnad is seeking a Dean's Office Coordinator to provide high-level administrative and organizational support to the Dean's Office while collaborating with key stakeholders across a range of programmatic, academic, operational, and administrative functions. Under the direction of the College of Business Dean and in close collaboration with the Senior Assistant to the Dean, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the college while gaining valuable experience in various aspects of higher education.

Responsibilities
- Works as part of the Dean's Office to provide high-level administrative and organizational support.
- Provides administrative and logistical support to the college's programs and centers.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating on-campus events, such as faculty interviews and visits from other invited guests.
- Provides administrative support to the college's Program Directors.
- Supports the Dean's Office in the faculty and professional staff onboarding process.
- Cross-trains to support other COB staff with job duties during temporary periods of increased workload or when staff are on leave.
- Assists in planning various COB annual and periodic events.
- Provides support and/or participates in COB committees as necessary, including preparing reports, taking minutes, and tracking actions and recommendations.
- Manages office supplies and inventory, ensuring timely ordering and restocking to maintain efficient office operations.
- At the discretion of the Senior Assistant to the Dean, serves as a reference for faculty and staff, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate parties.
- Maintains current knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with 2 years of relevant administrative experience is preferred, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and Electronic Health Record platforms is preferred.
- Strong planning, administrative, and organizational abilities, with excellent reading, spelling, grammar, and writing skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals both within and outside the University.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in higher education is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Task-oriented with the flexibility to adapt and prioritize in response to unexpected demands.
