Summary

Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center is looking for a Research coordinator II who will be under close supervision of senior research coordinator or faculty investigator, the research coordinator II will perform duties related to research studies to prevent or treat Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Job Duties

Participant Recruitment & Study Coordination (40%)

  • Interview, screen, and recruit patients for research studies.
  • Explain study processes and procedures to educate participants about the research.
  • Correspond with participants throughout the study.
  • Schedule research participants for protocol-required tests and procedures.
  • Coordinate study visits and ensure protocol adherence.

Data Collection & Database Management (20%)

  • Collect patient demographic information.
  • Collect and document medical history information.
  • Process study-related documents.
  • Enter participant information into research databases.
  • Retrieve and submit test results to appropriate parties.

Regulatory Documentation & Research Compliance (15%)

  • Maintain research study records.
  • Maintain regulatory documents required for research studies.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with study protocols and institutional requirements.

Clinical Assessments & Participant Testing (10%)

  • Administer study questionnaires.
  • Conduct cognitive assessments and testing.
  • Perform EKGs/ECGs when required.
  • Obtain vital signs from study participants.

Biospecimen Collection & Processing (10%)

  • Collect blood and other biological specimens.
  • Process specimens according to study protocol.
  • Ship specimens to designated laboratories.
  • Maintain specimen-related documentation and chain-of-custody records.

Operational & Administrative Support (5%)

  • Order research supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of study materials.
  • Assist with general research operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Course work or experience in biology and/or psychology.
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills essential.

Work Authorization Requirement:
