JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintains software, hardware and the network in a bioinformatics setting or molecular modeling laboratory.
Supervises regular updates and recommends state-of-the-art enhancements.
Analyzes high throughput screening data and performs structure activity analyses to generate predictive correlations.
Applies a limited range of molecular modeling tools to refinement of high throughput screening hits.
Presents the models in a form that allows users to make decisions concerning the direction of an experimental program.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:



The Bioinformatics Analyst applies computational and statistical approaches to analyze high-dimensional biological data, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other multi-omics datasets. Responsibilities include developing and implementing data processing pipelines, performing quality control and statistical analyses, integrating multi-modal datasets, and generating reproducible workflows. The analyst collaborates closely with experimental scientists and clinicians to interpret results, visualize findings, and translate complex data into biological insights. Proficiency in programming (e.g., R, Python), experience with high-performance computing environments, and knowledge of molecular biology and statistical methods are required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A master's degree in biology, biostatistics, chemistry, biochemistry, bioinformatics or related science or IT-based discipline; some student-related experience gained through formal Master's-level academic training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MPH degree, experience in programming
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
