Job Description
Summary
The Premedical Summer Institute (PSI) at Baylor College of Medicine provides promising students underrepresented in medicine with additional educational and practical experiences to enhance their competitiveness in the medical school admissions process.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Attend PSI activities and lectures, including anatomy and physiology lectures and labs and some evening/weekend activities (may be distributed on rotating basis among RAs).
- RAs will help set up for lectures and activities, assist with audio-visual set-up, monitor attendance, make announcements, distribute handouts, and assist in coordinating outings and events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
