Clinical Laboratory Scientist II, Generalist - Evenings (Clinical Pathology and Clinical Research)

In this role, we are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our growing team! You will be responsible for preparing specimens and conducting clinical laboratory procedures, ranging from waived to high complexity, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines such as SOPs, FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and Joint Commission standards. This position offers a sign-on bonus and presents an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals in the field. This is an Evening shift position; 02:00pm – 10:30pm (hours may vary slightly); initial training hours will be conducted during day shift hours.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Performs a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules. Completes procedures within established turnaround times
  • Performs quality control procedures including preventive maintenance, calibrations, review of controls, and records data on appropriate forms. Supports and participates in the Quality Assurance efforts and Performance Improvement process.
  • Utilizes standard laboratory equipment, and records and checks result for completeness and accuracy. Performs data entry of diagnostic information.
  • Main areas within the Core Laboratory include, but not limited to: Chemistry, Hematology, Research, Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, and Microbiology
  • EPIC Beaker experience (highly preferred)

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Military applicants without a Bachelor’s degree with the approval of CDPH-LFS (California Department of Public Health – Laboratory Field Services)
  • Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist
  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Highly Preferred: CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) – MTA)

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $45.22 - $72.36 / hour
