Job Description

Summary

The Division of Surgery at Ben Taub Hospital is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to provide daily administrative support to assigned providers and staff. This position requires someone with excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing projects and assignments at once. This position also requires someone with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access experience. 

Job Duties

  • Utilizes Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs to maintain the calendars and meeting schedules of the division faculty and staff. 10%
  • Submits expenses through Concur for reimbursements related to travel, continuing education, professional dues, and other expenses. 5%
  • Creates and maintains surgery call schedules, Qgenda, and pager lists using Microsoft Office Access/Excel, and other database software. 60%
  • Participates in supporting physician related activities.10%
  • Maintains and distributes weekly surgery protocol. 10%
  • Other duties as assigned. 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
