Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
This is a position within High-throughput Clinical Immunoassays & Diagnostics’ (HCID’s) Diagnostics group in Pfizer Vaccine Research and Development (VRD). Reporting to the head of Diagnostics, this position is responsible for forecasting sample analysis demands from clinical studies and developing strategic plans to ensure timely delivery of clinical data to support vaccine portfolios. The individual is expected to establish metrics and performance tracking to improve operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop monthly sample analysis forecasts by collaborating with program managers and assay leads.
Collaborate with Diagnostics team leaders to develop sample analysis timelines based on the forecasts.
Develop dynamic and strategic planning related to testing throughput, resources, instruments, inventories, and laboratory space to successfully meet the demands of the clinical programs.
Drive standardization of planning processes and risk management across the Diagnostics teams
Identify opportunities for operational improvements; support management in implementing continuous improvement initiatives in the Diagnostics team.
Develop key metrics and assessment of operational productivity and efficiency.
Develop tools and analytics to monitor performance against the metrics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum a bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related fields
5+ years of experience in demand planning, business analytics or related fields with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated excellence in communication skills and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize work with autonomy and drive results in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree such as MBA is desirable
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or clinical laboratory industries is preferred
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform work while standing/sitting.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This position may require occasional weekend and evening work to meet critical business timelines.
