Job Description

The Specialist, Controlled Substances will be responsible for:
Supporting the non-clinical activities regarding the use of controlled substances such as record-keeping, handling, storage, and disposal of controlled substances used in non-clinical research areas and laboratories.
Supporting training to laboratory staff regarding operational activities such as, record-keeping, and procedures for storage, disposal, and waste of controlled substances.
Respond to issues of non-compliance or lab inquiries that involve the storage and use of controlled substances.
Provides data acquisition and input on controlled substance research registrants.
Assisting report preparation as needed and participating in meetings.
Meeting with laboratory staff who are conducting work with controlled substances to review records required programmatic activities.
Supporting the input of data into required repositories to ensure availability of required information.
Maintaining knowledge in current and emerging controlled substance policy, state and federal regulations with regards to non-clinical research.

To qualify, you must have:
Associate degree with two years of proven success in laboratory or research compliance safety and compliance. Bachelor’s degree and controlled substance experience preferred.
