Job Description

Position Highlights:

The Search Engine Optimization/ Search Engine Management Specialist (SEO/SEM Specialist) will be responsible for and uses independent judgement through strategy and planning through the analysis of historic performance, understanding of KPIs, and implementation of SEO best practices. For Moffitt-owned platforms, this role will perform thorough, detailed website analysis, with a focus on crawlability, architecture and site content as well as create a variety of deliverables including keyword strategy documents, complete website audits utilizing Google Analytics and Site improve and development tools and creative reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • The SEO/SEM Specialist will track, report, and analyze website analytics at a KPI level and ad hoc basis.
  • This role will govern and ensure that all owned and paid properties have been technically optimized to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the target audience.
  • The SEO/SEM Specialist will oversee A/B and multivariate experiments along with other Digital Strategy team members suing a data-driven approach and measurement.
  • This role will oversee Online Reputation Management efforts in terms of brand citations (providers, locations, etc.) to communicate with agency and large directory listings (such as Google, Health grades, WebMD) to create, update or edit citations.
  • The SEO/SEM Specialist will perform competitive research to identify competitor strategies, and provide risk assessments. Stay up to date on and collaborate with Strategy team on algorithmic updates, market trends industry practices and news. Oversee implementation of negative link building efforts and remove content and/or links and create link earning strategies. Monitor Google algorithm (Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird) and make adjustments.
  • Oversee detailed website analysis, with a focus on crawlability, architecture and site content as well as create a variety of deliverables including keyword strategy documents, complete website audits such as SEO audits (link profile, onsite optimization, content restructuring) for all brand properties and analytics 
  • Oversee all owned and paid properties for technical optimization to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the target audience
  • oversee brand citations (providers, locations, etc.) to communicate with agency and large directory listings (such as Google, Health grades, WebMD) to create, update or edit citations.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Information Technology/Studies, Data Informatics or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the digital/marketing/communication field or in a digital agency environment is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years managing website content/SEO/SEM/analytics is required. 
  • Familiar with a variety of the healthcare and digital strategy concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems
  • Intermediate skill set in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics, digital channel tracking and digital channel measurement platforms. 
  • Proven ability to report metrics and measurement data and trends through internal and formal reporting and presentation.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to use independent judgement and decision making and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
