Job Description

Summary

The Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. Postdoctoral research fellows are trainees or established physician scientists that gain experience to prepare for a career or to explore new areas of research as a scientific/medical professional specialized in cancer. This fellowship position will work directly under Dr. Seth P. Lerner and contribute to his Bladder Cancer Research Program through clinical trial and basic science research.

Job Duties

  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced basic and/or clinical research projects.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • Establishes new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
  • Presents research findings and national and international meetings.
  • Assumes responsibility for laboratory operations.
  • Supervises research staff.
  • Manages other research coordinators for the research programs.
  • Assists the principle investigator/mentor with important matters relating to the design and execution of clinical and basic reseach 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.
