Demonstrated record of high-quality annual research productivity in recent years with increasing expectations in accordance with higher rank and experience.
Candidates at the Associate or Professor level must have the academic credentials, including active scholarship, service, and a strong teaching record, to qualify for these positions.
The College of Business, Economics, and Computing is AACSB accredited and recognizes multiple types of research including basic, applied, and pedagogical. The ideal applicant will be a Marketing generalist who is a team player with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Applicants should possess current digital marketing knowledge in topic areas such as: content marketing, social media strategy, SEO, conversation rate optimization, gamification, email marketing, influencer marketing, digital marketing metrics, artificial intelligence and marketing, and Internet of Things (IoT). They should be capable of teaching and/or developing quality course content at both the Graduate and Undergraduate level. The UW Parkside Sales Center provides nationally ranked Sales Education accredited by both the Sales Education Foundation and the University Sales Center Alliance. Interest in Sales related research is also desirable to maintain these accreditations as well as ability to teach Sales related courses such as Personal Selling and Key Account Strategy and Data Analysis for Sales and Marketing, as well as Marketing courses such as Global Marketing, Marketing Foundations, Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Promotion, and Marketing Research as needed.
Key Job Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate marketing courses. Assigned classes can be taught in face-to-face, online, hybrid, or competency-based format.
Advise or mentor students
Develop new classes and update existing classes in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and competency-based format
Maintain currency through scholarly work and professional engagement
Attend department, college, and university meetings and assist with relevant activities and events
Provide service to the university, community, and the relevant academic discipline profession; service can include advising student organizations
Perform other duties as assigned
